Madison County launches Restaurant Voucher Program

Wampsville, NY – Get ready to eat local, support local and double your money. Madison County announced today the restaurants that are participating in the “Madison Local Eats” program. “Madison Local Eats” is a gift card matching program. Individuals will be able to register for vouchers for their favorite Madison County Restaurant and double their money. Vouchers are available beginning June 29, 2021 at 4:00 PM.

How it works:
“Madison Local Eats” is a program from Buy Madison County. Customers will go to www.madisonlocaleats.com to claim vouchers to the restaurants of their choice. That voucher will be for either a $50 or $100 gift card. Then the customer will take that voucher to the restaurant they selected, pay half of the amount, and receive in exchange a gift card for the entire amount. So again, select a voucher for $100, bring that voucher to the restaurant, pay $50 and get a $100 gift card. The other half of the gift card will be reimbursed by Madison County to the restaurant. Then enjoy using your gift card.

Anyone is eligible to claim a voucher, you do not have to be a Madison County resident. Claim your voucher at www.madisonlocaleats.com beginning June 29, 2021 at 4:00 PM. There is a limited supply of vouchers for each restaurant and this promotion only runs for one week, or until supply sells out. Vouchers must be redeemed for a gift card by July 25, 2021.

“We know the past year has been difficult for our local businesses and our residents,” says
Madison County Board Chairman John M. Becker. “The Madison Local Eats program is just a
small way we can help out our restaurants and at the same time help out our residents.”
The Madison County reimbursement comes from the $13.7 million the County received as part
of the federal American Rescue Plan Act.
